We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Electrical Assembler to join our industrial manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble, wire, and install electrical components and sub‑assemblies used in industrial products and enclosures. You will follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to ensure assemblies meet quality and safety standards.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on electrical work, is comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, high‑quality assemblies.
Note: This role supports a new project launching soon and will be based at our new Surrey, BC facility. Initial training may be completed at our Abbotsford/Surrey location, with work transitioning fully to Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Assembly:
- Assemble and wire electrical components, panels, and enclosures according to schematics and drawings.
- Install wiring harnesses, terminal blocks, switches, relays, connectors, and control components.
- Perform routing, bundling, labeling, and termination of wires.
- Use hand and power tools to drill, mount, fasten, and secure electrical components.
- Verify wiring accuracy, continuity, and proper connections.
Documentation & Workflow:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
- Complete production travelers, checklists, and documentation accurately.
- Follow standard work instructions and maintain revision control.
Quality:
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and report wiring errors, damaged components, or non‑conforming materials.
- Support rework, adjustments, or component replacements as required.
Tools & Equipment:
- Safely use hand tools, crimpers, torque tools, and basic shop equipment.
- Maintain proper care and safe use of tools and equipment.
Safety:
- Follow company safety policies and WorkSafeBC guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S principles.
Qualifications:
- 1 - 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and termination.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift components up to 50 lbs.
Assets:
- Experience with sheet-metal enclosures, industrial control panels or electrical enclosures.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Technical training in electrical, industrial, or electromechanical programs.
Success Indicators:
- High first‑pass quality with minimal rework.
- Consistent, on‑time completion of assembly tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
- Positive teamwork and communication.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Standing/walking: ~70% of the shift.
- Sitting: ~30%
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, squatting, crawling, and climbing required.
- Exposure to non‑climate‑controlled environments, noise, dust, and vibration.
Employment Details:
- Shift: Day: Monday to Friday. 6:00 AM - 2:15 PM (40 hours per week).
- Pay: CA$20 - CA$22 per hour (hourly rate based on experience).
- Benefits: Available after probation period.
- Reviews: Performance reviews will be conducted at 3 and 6 months, with a wage review after 12 months.
