We are seeking a detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team. In this role, you will prepare, coat, and inspect sheet metal components to ensure a consistent, high-quality finish. Your work will be essential in enhancing the appearance, protection, and overall quality of our finished products while supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
Apply powder coatings to meet required specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality to ensure a consistent, high-quality product.
Inspect completed parts for defects and perform touch-ups or rework as required.
Load, unload, and move materials throughout the coating and curing process.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment and tools.
Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and coating specifications.
Track material usage and report equipment issues, shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and continuous improvement objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, manufacturing, or a related production environment is considered an asset.
Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and application techniques.
Ability to read and follow work orders, specifications, and production schedules.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to identify coating defects and perform corrective actions when required.
Comfortable working with hand tools, spray equipment, and production machinery.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Employment Details:

Starting Wage: Dependent on skills and experience.
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.
