Shipper – Receiver (Day Shift)

About the Job
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Shipper–Receiver to join our shop operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the flow of materials and products throughout the facility. You will be responsible for shipping and receiving activities, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient shop operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Move materials and/or parts around the shop floor as required.
  • Prepare and organize parts, packages, pallets, and materials for shipping.
  • Ensure all shipments include accurate and complete paperwork.
  • Work with the Scheduler, when required, to ensure priority orders are shipped on time.
  • Receive materials from suppliers and verify incoming materials are undamaged.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Match purchase orders to incoming products from vendors and submit paperwork to Purchasing for receiving.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklift and delivery truck.
  • Report any forklift or equipment issues to the Operations Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Keep the workspace and equipment clean, organized, and orderly.
  • Monitor scrap bins and request pickups when full.
  • Request shipping and receiving supplies as needed (shrink wrap, pallets, tape, cartons, etc.).
  • Follow all safety procedures to ensure accident‑free operation.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Forklift License (Preferred).
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Preferred).
  • Experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physically able to perform material handling duties.

Employment Details:
  • Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (40 hours per week)
  • Pay: $22 per hour to start
